How to arrive at the Drupal Camp Novi Sad 2024

Airplane

If you are comming from the distant places (say more than 1.000 km or 600 miles), then the only sensible way of transportation is by plane.

Novi Sad does not have its own airport, but Belgrade airport Nikola Tesla is only 80 km (50 miles) away or about 60 min driving by car. Transfer from the airport is possible by bus or by taxi. Bus can be complicated as there are no frequent departures directly to Novi Sad and going over Belgrade may be a challenge. There are special taxi services that can drive you directly to Novi Sad and when the bill is shared, it can cost around 10-20€ per head. Train

The train could be the best way to come but most of the railroads are under construction and the only one operating properly is Novi Sad Belgrade which features a high-speed train which has WiFi and is reasonably priced around 7 €. It arrives in half an hour and the slower regional train is around 5 € and arrives in less than hour.

Bus

In region and even further, from Germany or Netherlands, bus may be the cheapest and easiest way to come to Novi Sad. There are companies from Novi Sad that have regular daily routes, usually are comfortable and arrive on time.

Car

You think traveling by car is an excellent option and we are totally agree. Now you need a safe place for your vechicle. One can find a few in the very near of our venue. Check down on the map.

Bicycle

Novi Sad is on the Danube cycle path, which is part of the EuroVelo 6 route so it is also easily approachable by bicycle.

Station to venue (or accommodation)

City bus

Once in Novi Sad, you may take city buses (distinctly blue like Drupal) that drives you almost to the spot of venue for some small fare price of 1€, but you have to pay in dinars (120 dinars). Bus number 4 will drive you from the main bus or train staion to the venue (only 6 stations, so count carefully). You can see the city bus timetable here.

Taxi

Some info about taxi in Novi Sad. First of all, taxi in Novi Sad is one of cheapest taxis in the world! There are so many different taxi companies and they are very competitive. Averige drive will cost aproximately 400-600 RSD (~5€).

There are also "guys" who are not part of those companies and they are much more expensive and that experience can be very negative. We will recommend here some of the best choices and try to save you from bad experience.
